COURSE DESCRIPTION:  The Electronic Access Control Device training was created and designed to fulfill your eight (8) hour continuing education security license renewal requirements as an alarm installer in the State of Texas.  In this course, we will define and discuss the Electronic Access Control Device which will include what is access control, biometric system control access, apartment access, electromagnetic locks and the ease of installing, attributes of the electromagnetic door, installation to doors, gate installation, defeating an electromagnetic lock, and the National Electrical Code.

Per the Texas Administrative Code Title 37, Chapter 35, Subchapter M Private Security Continuing Education, Alarm systems installers must earn eight (8) hours of continuing education credits in an alarm related field, with one (1) hour covering the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it applies to low voltage, during each subsequent twenty-four (24) month period. This requirement must be satisfied prior to the expiration date of the license and before renewal.
